Very simple: looks great, works and saves table space. It's versatile in that it could be changed into a table lamp too. I use it as a floor standing bedside lamp and it's perfect for reading in bed as most bedside lights don't seem to get near enough to the reading matter and angle poises tend to droop! Very good value.

This is a very nice lamp, represented value for money, and I’m happy having paid for it what I did. You can adjust the direction of the light, which you’d normally do when using this lamp for reading. I screwed a grow lamp for my plants in instead, which is perfect because it isn’t immediately obvious that it’s a grow lamp but is perfect for it. The one niggle that I have is that the base of the lamp doesn’t quite provide enough stability if you have very rustic floors.

I'm very pleased with this lamp. I use it to shine light over my shoulder while I'm sitting at a work table, so the ability to adjust the height is very useful. It looks good (I have the white version) and seems well made. Not very clear from the photos is the fact that the cross-section of the shade is a kind of rounded triangle, not a circle. The switch is quite small and perhaps a bit fiddly, but it’s perfectly fine. In case it's not clear from the description or the photos, you set the height by adding or removing two sections of tube that are each 30 cm long. This means the height of the lamp can be about 85, 115 or 145 cm, but you can’t set it between those sizes. One of the photos seems to show it being used as a desk light, but at a minimum 85 cm I don't see how that would work very well. A minor drawback of the height adjustment system is that the cable exits the tube part-way up. That’s not quite as neat as the base attachment you’d normally expect for a floor lamp, and could increase the risk of tripping over the cable. The tubes screw together with about seven turns, so when assembling the top three tubes (which carry the power cable) it’s a good idea to twist the cable seven turns anticlockwise before screwing them together. That should avoid putting unnecessary stress on the cable.

Love it! Excellent lamp which seems well made and more expensive than was. Ideal for most rooms, mine was for newly decorated and furnished bedroom which due to lack of room for bedside table needed a taller stand alone lamp to aid reading as well as a decorative item. Fits perfectly in the space at the side of bed. Good light and size which is remember variable height due to the central post being in 3 parts. So pleased with the over all lamp, a great buy.
